Going through the classifieds, you see little for sale and few cars for sale. i know there are survivors out there. Are they mostly pristine and require little to no hard parts? may be able to save one soon, just don't want to 1 have to crush it or two have to look at it for ever, however, i would like to find some parts new life. I know the 400 cu in drive train has some value, just not sure about body parts and convertible, interior stuff

It looks like that one is a 1972. The convertible parts should be the same as any other full size GM convertible 1971-1975 so that should broaden your potential market. As for the rest of the car, I don't think there's much if anything available for aftermarket parts for that era so I'd think there should be a market for anything that's worth saving.

Having said all that, from that single picture it looks to be in pretty decent shape - I'm always in favor of saving a car, rather than simply parting it out.

i agree, its an original 455 car but original motor is long gone, and in its place a 72 350. It def has good bones. thanks Stuart

I can't speak for today's pricing, but in the 1980s I bought every junk big car I found with a 455 in it. A lot of them had nice sheet metal as they were southern cars. My dad had some mobile homes he rented in the 1970s & 1980s, and when he stopped renting I used them for storage. My father passed in 2011. My mom was also in poor health, and never got over losing dad, so I knew she probably wouldn't be far behind. Knowing my siblings would want to sell the property once she passed, so I started thinning the herd. With the exception of 69-72 Grand Prix sheet metal, I found no demand for big car parts. I ended up selling all of the big car sheet metal by the pound. Hopefully demand has inproved since then, but it was very poor ten years ago.

That 72 is a good looking car. Is it Lucy? The 350 would make it much more affordable to drive too. I imagine it would ride really nice too.

You’ll never find a buyer for most of the parts on it I’m sorry to say.

I’d slide an aluminum 507 in there……….would be a great sleeper!
