How to mount door panel chrome trim strips?
Hi all,
Have a '69 GTO with new legendary door panels. Wondering the best approach to mount the horizontal chrome trim to these new door panels without screwing it up? It looks like the new panel has little holes/impressions in the back side of the door panel (cardboard) to show where the holes should go for the trim. Of course I don't want to cut the vinyl exterior side in any place that would show after trim mounting. One thought is to use the trim strip and push it through from the back side, then turn around and mount from the front side... or use exacto to poke initial hole. Maybe use a pointy tool to poke holes from the back, then push trim strip from the front to enlarge holes as needed. Over-analyzing this initially as substantial consequences for getting it wrong. and I'm usually not very good at this kind of thing. Thanks for your input!

I used an X-Acto no. 16 blade from the back side.
