Default Many Thanks to Cliff Ruggles

I called Cliff a few weeks ago and he helped me with a kit for my 1971 Quadrajet. It is finally installed following his recipe in his book and the car performs FANTASTIC again. The motor is a 1971 400, .040 overbore, 068 cam, HEI distributer. The car idles perfectly and responds to the throttle cleanly. Going thru the gears is a pleasure again. No more bucking or hesitation when letting the clutch out. The timing was at 14 degrees and I had a bit if hard starting every so often so we turned it down to 12 degrees. So far so good, but we may bump it back to 13 degrees or adjust the advance a bit yet.
It was great talking to Cliff on the phone and his book is like a bible for anyone wanting to do their own carb rebuild.
Many thanks again, Mark
