Honestly Peerformance is great but i really wish there was a place on PY where people could put sound bytes or videos of their car and discriptions of their ex system and engine, that way you could compare and listen and find what you like IMO i would gladly loose 5hp for better sound.

I did a Pypes system on the LeMans, and it hands down is the best fitting, easiest install, and most complete system I've ever bought. And I've used all the big name ones over the years. I was so impressed I bought systems for my T/A and the 442. On the T/A though, went with the standard type mufflers, not the x-over, since I'm running a 9", was worried it wouldn't fit. When I'm asked which system, it's hard for who's asking to even finish the sentence, that's how confident I feel about the Pypes systems...

I'm running the 18" Goerlich Xlerator and am very pleased. In the past I've stuck with Walker Super Turbos, mostly because I was used to the noise level, which I found acceptable. I'm an acception to the rule though, since I will sacrifice a little performance to make it quieter. From a performance standpoint, I recommend the RacePros, which I feel are the best combo of performance, sound, and price. They hands down in my book are way better than Flow Masters... (I bet the Mopar guys would love to see Pypes do systems for their' cars!)

I've tried them all over the years. Home made many myself.
My next 2 cars(67 FB-68 GTO) will get "Pype's".

Click the link in my sig (go to the burnouts) for a 3'' pypes with 3'' magnaflows, my engine is similar (it had a smaller 288/296 UD HYD cam w/1.65's in those vids). Some of the vids had flowmasters bolted to the headers but they sound very different.

Hope this helps.
