Just found a 350 motor with 6 x heads.I would like to know the chamber and valve
size of these heads and do they flow about the same as the 400 6x heads. Thanks again

Those heads have 2.11/1.66 valves. They are the same as a 400 6X head but with a smaller combustion chamber. This is the more popular 6X head as it has the correct size combustion chamber for around 9.5:1 compression with little or no milling on a 455.

Ditto to what Tim said, also I believe chamber size for 350/#4 is 91cc, (400/#8 6x heads are 98cc) Later, Guy

How do you tell the difference in 8's and 4's? Where are the numbers casted? Just bought my first set today to replace my 7k3's
on my 400. About how much should I shave to get 9:1 CR? How many questions can I ask in one post- Thanks, Joe

This is from GTOKEN's site and show the location where not only 6X, but 4X and 5C are located as well. As far as milling for compression, that depends on which head you purchased and what you are installing them on. |

Cool Site Rocky. Thanks for the URL. I have the larger 8's. They will probably go on My
72 YS block with TRW flat tops. I'll get my machinist to CC the heads to get a close estimate on how much to mill them for 9:1.
