Default Need documentaion

Can anyone find anything showing a 400 or 428 was run in SCCA and Trans Am back in the late 60's early 70's?
Supposedly some guy found documentation about BBC's running in Camaro's so they've let a few of those run, but they (Vintage Trans Am) won't let my 428 (433) in without documentation.
They'll yield on the 428 being dealer installed (Royal) but those were drag cars.

Can someone put me in touch with Herb? PM me or vice versa with contact info.

Well one thing is for sure, that being that a 428 will not bolt right into 70 Bird without a motor mount adapter which may be the first strike against such having taken place.

What engine was used in Craig Fishers 1970 Firebird? I think my dad told me it was a de-stroked RAIV??

Is Rick Titus still around and would he know?

What about this picture of Minters 70?

I need more info of Minter's car, as much as possible. Engine size mainly. Anything and everything you got.

They want me to also change to a dual plane intake, I'd rather stay with my single. Documentation helps my cause.

Thanks

I also found these but I think the 455 is from 1973.
But, I've also found pics of FGF and second on track together.
Every little bit helps.

I did find out the story of the BBC 427 in the Camaro. A 1969 Yenko with a ZL-1 ran at Sebring 12 hrs under FIA rules in the GT +5.0 class.
The few BBC Camaro's running now are based on that one obscure precedent so I'm using all the above info to get my car in.

Hopefully all this will work out, I refuse to install a 302 Chevy in my Firebird. I'll just run regional events and tracks before I do that.

I used to have this book that has some info on Craig's car. Not sure where it is at.

I will speak to my dad today to see what he remembers. He is nearing 80 so his memory is not as good. He had a hand in allot of the special cars Pontiac had out there in the late 60's early 70's.

Herb raced in SCCA with his 64 GTO.
In 72 he raced Trans Am, but by then the TA's had 455 HO, which would be legal?

In 1969 there were no 455's. Don't know if they would have ran a 428, heck they couldn't get the 303 RA V engine in it?
(may be messing it up with some other class, don't know)

Thought I had Herb's email but can't find it.
Also have Gregg Peterson's, he raced with Herb in their 74 GA with the SD 455. (not Firebird though). Gregg had a 74 SD he bought new with some trick upgrades though.
