Default Replacing carpet

Ok---don't laugh (or at least not online), but just ordered a new carpet kit that comes with rubberized backing. Should I leave the old jute in place and put this new backing over it? or put the backing the jute? throw the jute away? Our car is a convertible so cutting down heat is a GOOD thing and it doesn't stay out side so rarely gets wet

Default CARPET

the rubberized backing is all that you should need...A.C.C.??...that's supposed to be an upgraded type of carpet...the only thing you may run into is mounting the seats (thicker mounting depth)....maybe..usually just goes over your underlayment like a standard carpet...post photos if possible and keep us posted...good luck!!...Firebird carpet is a pain but the different body style may be easier to work with and the rubberized backing is supposed to give a crisper fit but I have never seen/installed one
