Question Convertor flash for launching

Ok Going to test this saturday to work on reaction times... A couple of questions .. is it harder on the drive train flashing the convertor from idle? instead of loading up the car some? Dont want to be breaking stuff in this monster!

dont worry about it, there is still a hydraulic cushion no matter how hard you hit it.

FWIW: Darby. I think it depends on your converter too..."Loading" converter is fine as long as you don't twist car up just to get converter up. I have tried all to get my heavyweight to launch. With my loose converters it was a two edged sword. (IMO)
I could leave off idle and really flash converter and get a hard launch (with traction)and get a great 60' but RT's sucked. Bring car up on converter and RT's improve but 60's suffered. I just installed a new PTC converter and I can footbrake it to 3,500+ and not twist car out of shape...so far so good. RT's are good and 60's good.. Have to figure out what's the best for your car/converter..Better 60's or RT's Best of both worlds would be nice ! Food for thought! I'm no expert...just my experiences..with heavyweight !!
BUT..this is not a converter I would use on STREET.
Good luck

Troy I tried leaving off idle this spring at the start of the season, but i was way late as i was leaving the same way I am now on the tree... So My thinking is that if i lower the rpms like has been suggested and lower the tire pressure and leave as the light comes on instead of waiting for a certain glow or amount of time watching the light be on.. I hope to cut a much better light!. I know leaving at 12-1500 my 6o fts have been solid 1.83-1.84 all the time.. when i was leaving off idle it was high 1.7's but that was much better air in the spring too.. But Have done some more tuning so maybe they will come back down? doesnt really matter to me I would much rather cut a .030 light all day then run a tenth faster!..
