67 400 4spd car. Owner has had since 68.

I saw a new one of those at a swap last year, we thought it was from GM you could buy.

I bought a new 67 in February of 67. About a year later, I had a flat and needed the inflator. Naturally it didn't work when needed. I remember that it was definitely the red cylinder in a cardboard tube......John

If we can get pics fixed youll see 3 red ones together, one of which still has cardboard tube and label. These were used by GM and IIRC Mopar(no cardboard tube). They are much larger than the skinny red one.
Heres what I remember on the size and application.
The larger ones and the aluminum ones were no longer DOT compliant so they came out with the skinny red then the skinny blue.
I didnt include a pic of the skinny blue one that came out of my 78 Seville
but you can tell by weight its much thicker material than the ones shaped like propane bottles.
