"...a total of 4 Canadian T. Ams were built for racing. These cars were very successful throughout the 1969 season, finishing in the top 5. Over time, 3 of these 4 cars have been destroyed. The 4th car currently resides in New Zealand and has been converted into a Camaro."

A fate worse than death....

I have seen the RA V car and Talked with the owner. The car is VERY nice. I think I am going to try and go the the action if I can find the time.

I noticed the RA III has a Burlwood dash bezel -- and a standard interior!

I'm beginning to think almost nothing is exactly "correct"! LOL

I think, if you ordered a console then you got the dash burlwood, that's how my T/A is optioned.

69,

There's No console on the RA III either....

I'm not much of a stickler for things being "correct" but it's intriguing to see how differently equiped the TA's are. Another example: I ran across one the other day that didn't have the stacked gauges. I thought those were on all TA's.

I'd love to see the PHS docs on these cars...

John

My car is devoid of options :P Other than the console and rally II's that is. The car wouldn't look right if you just put the burlwood on the dash or console and not put it on both. I have a standerd Int. as well.

ditto here on the no stacked gauge pkg, have rally gauges I put in for safety reasons. Have the original gauges, just don't trust the idiot lights.

John </div></BLOCKQUOTE>John, the TA's were about equally divided on guages --- about a third were plain idiot lights, about a third were Rally Guages (oil, temp, fuel in the left pod and clock off to the side), and about a third were Tach-N-Stack. As far as I know, NONE came from the factory with a hood tach, though.

Glenn, did all TA's with ralley gauges have a clock? I thought that was a separate check-off on the order form, but not sure if that all came as a package deal?

Good question...After that RAIII car on Ebay that needed door skins, paint and an engine rebuild went for 50K wonder what was wrong with that mecum car?

You could order just the clock as an option, and you would still have the idiot lights. Or you could order option code 484, which was the Rally Gauge package (two additional gauges in the left pod) and included the clock. The other option, the IP tach and gauges was order 444 and could NOT have the clock, as the stacked gauges took that space. Hood tach on idiot light or Rally Gauge gars was still a separate option, but not available on TAs' due to the incompatibility with the larger hood scoops.
