New 3 inch tailpipe source
I was talking to reps from Lyell Stainless Exhaust at the Toronto car show and they sell 3 inch mandrel bent tailpipes for 2nd generation firebirds as well as many other cars. I will be purchasing a set in about 2 weeks. Price is $299 CDN funds.

The shop is doing a run of tailpipes later in the week...I should have mine next week. I let the owner that there may be a good demand for these and he said if there was enough interest there would be a "group discount" for PY members.

Tailpipes came in yesterday , I did a trial fit they look like they will fit well. I have a "tester" set which is a one piece tailpipe. The company provides a little extra length at the muffler exit and the tailpipe exit. They exit before the rear shackle on 45 degree angle. If one wanted a exit under the back bumper there is a section provided to do that after the required cut is made. The company is talking about also making these tailpipes 2 or 3 pieces so they are easily modified and easier to install.

Two piece like the Torque Tech and 2.5 Dynomax are much easier to install!
