The try y design looks to be awesome. I would really like to have a set made for my 72 Formula but am not so sure about the guy Watt / Tribal Tubes who makes them. Seen guys posting that love him and some who hate him??? Not sure how both can be true??

He is just behind. Trying to catch up. As soon as I get mine I will let you know. I ordered mine this past November. Thanks, Lex.

Please do, I ordered mine about a month after you. Lets me know somewhat of a time frame. I can't put my exhaust together without them since the headers that are on now will likely have different flange position and I am welding up most of the joints.

I ordered mine in Sept 2010, Ron sent me an email in October stating my headers were ready and just needed to go to the coaters. Well, it's mid February and I have no headers. I have sent him emails and a PM and no response.

I guess if you don't mind someone holding your money for months or years in some cases then its "OK".

I just feel like like its hard to get a straight answer. And harder to keep a project on a target date when dealing with him.

Sure hope Ron gets up and running again. It seemed like he was getting some help from some other Pontiac guys which gave me more security to send money but that deal seems to have blown up too.

If you need headers now then TriYs from Ron are not the answer, he has none to offer.

Maybe we should start a post of who ordered and who actually received?

Gearbanger, you got yours didn't you?

I just spoke with Ron today, he has gone several weeks without a new order, and has sold his truck to get some funds to get running. He got two orders in the last two days, so now he is getting his operation moving again. Many of us are in the same boat (hoping for some nice headers, but having no idea when they will show up), so continuing to take shots is not helping anyone get their headers.
Like several other people have posted, I believe that Ron is trying to make good on his orders. Maybe I am right, maybe I am wrong. I just want a nice set of headers.

Mike

I haven't gotten them yet but Ron has been in touch with me alot. Apparently they are made but not finish welded, and now that he has a couple of orders, he is going to try and get them done and shipped this week. I have my fingers crossed.

Good deal Larry. I am glad you finally got them. Ron has definitely convinced me that he is not a crook. I can't believe he has risen from the ashes to try and make good on this header deal. I still don't have mine, but supposedly, they may ship this week. No coating, but he promises that one day he will refund my coating money as well.

At this point, I don't care if mine are coated either...maybe he could offset the cost with some other Pontiac parts???

I think he has sold about everything he has. I will just be happy to get headers. On a positive note. It sounds like the headers I will get will be more refined and have maybe a couple less weld joints in them than if I had gotten them years ago. Also, I will be putting the v-band flanges on them for connection to the pipes, which are pretty cool.

Larry, which version are they? What kind of shape are they in--are they still serviceable? Just wondering, as I don't need a set right now.

Craig, these are round ports that I bought from Ken back in '94.
I used them on my old '73 SD clone. I had to do a little massage work on a couple of tubes where they pass around the lower A-arm brackets....nothing drastic.
They look great.

SD, why don't you go over to Ron's and weld my headers up for me. I like your welds!
