My parts are sitting in my shop. Waiting to get the block, heads and crank back from the machine shop. Maybe I can get everything assembled by the end of July????

If you go to u tube and look up LS lifters in Pontiac’s (lsx hunter) and retrofitting GM roller lifters ( craw daddy customs) you will get a good overview of the setup. If randy can do a reasonably priced kit including the correct length push rods it looks very practical.

What are the pictures showing? Are they what raise and lower the plate?

This is an interesting system. At engine speed, is there ever any contact with the lifter guide plate and the lifter body?

No contact. The lifters ride squarely on the cam lobes. The plate simply prevents the lifter from rotating when and if it bleeds down due to the engine not running for a while.

will it clear over a megabrace? and or be capable of functioning due to the the megabrace is at the top of the lifter bore already (IIRC). I guess if needed the megabrace could be machined .060 on the top side so as to allow a below flush height to the lifter bore tops.

If you use countersunk allen head bolts you should be fine. See attached

figured it would be very close per the 2 designs...just not sure how much lifter tops were above the lifter bores

Or if somebody over-revs the motor, and the lifter leaves the lobe.

^^^ good ?
I guess one would need to verify overall lift of the lifter relative to the lock plate ...per the side clearance as it is per 45*. lifter clearance......alot of things going on here but it is all simple math

Is this system only effective for a given range of lift using the Sealed power lifters on your website? SPL-2148P

Follow his instructions from post 48.

The measurement is 2.000 from the base circle of the roller cam to the top of the oil feed hole in the lifter bore. This measurement is based on a 1.080 base circle cam.
Using our big .400 lobe lift cams, the Gaterman 1012 lifters still have a little room to spare as pictured in the first two pictures. The Sealed Power HT2148 lifters will expose the oil hole and spurt oil when the cam is on the base circle.
Our .377 lobe lift cams have a 1.135 base circle and work fine with either lifter.
Test your setup prior to firing it up by installing the cam and just placing the lifters in the bores. Keep the valley pan off and use your oil priming tool to prelube the engine and you'll see if it's losing oil. Some oil seepage around the lifter body is to be expected but if it looks like the Clampet's striking oil on the Beverly Hillbillies, you're asking for a rod or main bearing failure.
The key is to use a Hyd Roller cam with a 1.135 base circle or larger on a HT2148 lifter. Let me be clear, it will run regardless but at continued high RPM it will pump the oil to the top and bearings are going to suffer.
For anyone who has built an engine with these lifters and a large hyd roller cam, IF you don't know your cams base circle dimension, call your cam manufacturer and find out.
The hobby can't afford any more Pontiac blocks being destroyed.

We should have all the backorders shipped by tomorrow. Longer than we expected but now that it's all Injuneered, the next batch will be much quicker.

The delays gave me more time to think it through and we all ended up with a better product.

New series of instructional videos coming soon too!

I guess it's true that good things come to those who wait.

AIRLGPS is $129 Lifters are $199 for Standard USA Made Sealed Power, $239 for PREMIUM USA Made Sealed Power lifters with snap ring retainers.

Buy them together for $300 for Plate and Std lifters, $335 for Plate and Premium lifters.

I need to add the packages to the website so if you the package price just order it separately and I'll refund you the discount.

Thanks!
