The heads are '63 544127 421 Super Duty custom heads set up by Jim Robertson with T&D 1..65 shaft rockers. I will try and post the link to the post I put on the forums here about them

Jim Robertson ported 544127 SD heads

I came back and edited this the above post was made on April 5, 2018 I don't know how to embed it here so if people would want to go see what these heads are they will have to go to the archives.

The post is in the Race Section and I brought it to the top for now.

Will be an awesome build for sure!

Do you know what the install height of the 914 springs are in the these SD heads? FWIW, depending on how the 914s are set up they are good for .650” lift most of the time, probably .620” @1.8”. Can go up to .670”-.680” lift if the are set up at 1.85” and still have about 150 lbs of seat pressure. Not to many hyd roller cams bigger than that even with 1.65 rockers.

If it is the Lunati cam listed in that thread it would work fine with the 914s and 1.65s.

Jim's notes show 1.800 installed height and 1.100 coil bind. The Lunati cam will have 6.15/6.21 lift with the 1.65 rockers and this would give .079 clearence to coil bind.. The book says you want .1000 clearance if you really spin the engine. If I get the Butler ra iv roller cam I will have .142/.105 clearance. So what do you think?

Tom wouldn't standard 1:5 GTO 389 rockers work on 127 heads? On the number 10 cam with 1:65 rockers the lift on 127 heads were around 447. The Ram Air 4 cam is the same basic spec. but with more lift, 516 With 1:65 rockers as apposed to 447 with 1:50. Am I missing something here, other than the difference between rollers and flat tappets? Mike

Normal Early Rocker Arms and 1.65 Rocker Arms from a 1967 up ARE NOT THE SAME.
Or any 1967 up engine. I made that mistake in 1971. 421 SD stuff will work on 127 heads or pre-67 heads.
And 64-66 GTO rockers with a 1.5 ratio would work fine.

Well I'm going to "kind of" kill this thread now, at least as far as I am concerned. You guys go ahead and talk it up if you want, but I need to get out of it because I just discovered that I posed a question on here, in the street section, on 9/11/2021, titled "coil bind of .055 and .059". Steve 25, Steve C., Vengeance Race Engines, Tom Vaught, and lust4speed all answered that post with very good information and I had completely forgotten about it! I am apparently over worrying things and may even be getting alzheimer's?

I firmly DO NOT believe that. Nothing wrong with being careful and checking things from
a couple of different angles.

Thanks for the Compliment though.

AS I remember 127 and 980s had right at 2in installed height from the factory.Again,1.50s were never a option.1.75s were,I have a half set of 1.75s.Tom

Tom you are correct. The 127 and 980 heads are 2in installed height I just measured my 127's and that's what they are.
