In the process of getting parts for my 69 Judge. Donor car is a 68 Lemans 4 door. Looking to take the trunk, rear under seat panel and the entire floor pan. We are aware that there is a few inches difference from 2 to 4 door for wheel base, but so far, we are not finding that difference in any panel that I described.

Can anyone tell me where the difference is between the two? Need to know ASAP.

2 dr = 112 " wheel base
4 dr = 116 " wheel base

Only body parts the same are front clip, trunk, front window (not sure about rear window), and rear bumper/valance (non GTO).

Thanks, Jack. So do you know for sure if the 4" difference is in the floor boards? Or could it be different under the rear seat?

In 1968 the wheel base changed and remained the same thru 1972.
1967 was 115" for both 2 & 4 dr
1968-1972 was 112 for 2 dr and 116 for 4 dr. & station wagons.
Track from side to side changed slightly but don't have info with me as I am on the road.
If I were guessing the difference would be under the back seat area to give more room to those in the back seat on 4 dr/sw.

md1twal3,

How are the rocker panels on the 4-door parts car?

I'm needing some for our '68 Tempest Wagon.
I would be interested in any solid body parts you have that you're not going to need.

It would help offset you cost for the parts car.

Does anyone know if a driveshaft from a 67 A body will work in a 68 Tempest wagon with a Turbo 400 if a yoke from the 400 is used on a 67 driveshaft?

I am guessing the rockers are solid, they are off a texas car.

I am actually getting the parts from Bill Morgan (he belongs to this forum). You can e-mail him at bmorgue@hotmail.com and he can give you specifics

I would think that the floor pans are the same....just extended a few more inches to accomadate the longer wheel base?

I see your talking about using it for your '69 Judge..you do know that the 68 trunk lids will not fit a 1969 GTO/LeMans!

I know the trunk floor is the same as I have put one from a 4-door 68 Chevelle in my 70 GTO.

I think you will find that the floor pans are the same except the part under the rear seat.

Well, that may be. The floor pan is actually a different part number for the two and four door. I plan to get the part for under the rear seat, so I guess we will see.
