Looking at the specifications on a butler blueprinted oil pump and see the pump discharge passage way is increased to 9/16". To take advantage of the increased flow through the pump, one would need to increase the oil passage size (1/2" to 9/16") from the pump mount on the block to the oil filter housing.

Then, in order to take advantage of increased flow to the oil filter housing, one should then increase the diameter from the filter housing to the drivers side gallery. (again 1/2" to 9/16").

Has anyone done this?
