71 GP VINYL TOP MOLDING
New member here with my first posting I'm hoping someone can help me with, I'm the proud owner of a 71 GP that I am trying to install the factory style vinyl top on with the matching molding but the car came with a full vinyl top that raps around the drip edges and down the front window pillars, I'm figuring the top was dealer installed since I've only seen about three of them one of which is currently on ebay with the same top. I've gathered up the factory trim from Franks pontiac parts but I need the location of the two holes on either side of the car for the rear corner trim. The trim has two studs that secure from the underside in the trunk area and provide the reference points to lay out the molding for the top. Big problem my car does not have those holes and I was hoping someone in the ohio area has a 71-72Gp with factory vinyl top I could get some measurements from instead of taking a wild guess and end up drilling holes in the wrong location. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Steve |
