Default 71-72 GRAND PRIX BUMPERS

Was wondering if anyone knows if the 71 and 72 GP bumpers are interchangable and if anyone has one available to sell? I got a pair of supposed 72 rear bumper brackets from a local swap meet cheap but they are different from the ones on my 71. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks, Steve

Yes they are interchangeable. The main bumper brackets should be the same for both years. I know the steel plate that is attached to the back side of bumper that the license plate light attaches to is different. The 71 should have a longer plate than the 72.
