Carter AFB tuning tips
Posting this again, as some of our younger members may not have seen it.
Have noticed a few Carter AFB tuning questions in other threads. This link is an attempt to address MOST Carter AFB tuning questions. Please understand this article was written for genuine Carter AFB carburetors ONLY; the modern imitations are not considered. If the answer needed is not available in the link, will try to answer in this thread. When asking the question (genuine Carter AFB's only, no imitations); post the carburetor identification number, the vehicle on which it will be used, the relative build information for the engine, and the desired purpose of the finished vehicle (concours, street driving, circle racing, drag racing, road racing, etc.). Link: http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/AFBtuningtips.htm Note: Please be advised that the very last of the carburetors which say Carter (9635SA, 9636SA, and 9637SA) are considered imitations as they were produced after the Carter buyout and total accountant redesign of the AFB. The 9635S, 9636S, and 9637S are genuine Carter. Jon,
