If you're planning on running in Pure Stock - make your changes to that rear suspension now before the body goes on & get your driveshaft loop in - you'll thank me later.

Put the no-hop bars in now & box your upper trailing arms. Put in a set of boxed lower trailing arms as well and a sway bar if you don't mind departing from 100% factory. All of it is legal for P/S and will help with the launch.

For as many times I bring a car to be "points Judged" which is never I could do that.

But, I will be cutting my teeth at PS too. So, that is why I'm torn on stock vs pure stock...

According to DJ if I'm not out to "break records" stay with the "factory correct look".

I would advise against the no hop bars on a stick car, hits the tires too hard. Jim Lerum and few others have experimented with them and ran slower.

That's good advice.

Mike, its really looking awesome. What color are they doing the body mounts? I swear there was a thread here that just discussed it, but I can't find it. When removed the originals from the 70, I found colors on all the mounts. Solid fronts were blue, solid rears pink, and all the rest had a light purple color. The right rear one was different from all the rest, and was embossed with CHEVROLET and had an orange color to it. If you blow the pics upI'm attaching, you can see the part numbers on the mounts.

FYI, I ended up going with the inline tube exhaust, the factory 2 1/4" (necks down to 2" at the muffler inlet), it really sounds awesome on the IV motor. Here's a couple pics:
