American Auto Wire
Anyone use the built harnesses from American Auto wire ? Need a rear tail harness and M&H is way back ordered.

I used their Classic Update kit on my car. I thought it was great. Quality constructions and good instructions. I did buy their large and small crimpers. Essential to good assembly of terminals.

I'm currently installing a complete harness from American Autowire. I'm using the classic update kit. This is the second one of these I've used. The classic update kit is setup for internal regulated alternators, HEI, and other typical updates. The other kit I installed was on a 1964 Chevy 1 ton. Very pleased. Good instructions and quality. Also bought their crimpers. See my response to your other post looking for a tail light harness.

I got the rear taillight harness for my Firebird, It didn’t have the hard plastic protective cover on it so I swapped that over from my old harness. Otherwise it was excellent and plugged right into everything.

Just saw a post a couple minutes ago on another forum; a guy used them on his 70 Chevelle (both dash and engine compartment) and spoke very highly of them.

I used a full classic update on my gto. I was impressed with the quality if the wiring and the instructions. Everything pretty much worked the first time other than my mistakes.
I wish I had bought their crimpers. I bought a crimper set from Amazon and it didn’t help much. It worked on the small connectors only. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro |

Been purchasing restoration style wiring harnesses from American Autowire since the mid 90's.
Back then the company was known as J. Parker Wireworks. An old friend had them reproduce the late 70's 400 Pontiac engine harnesses. Until then, one could not purchase a reproduction engine harness for the late 70's TransAms & Formulas.

I've had factory replacement underdash harnesses from AAW and M&H side by side on the bench and outside of labeling they were very similar. Both are quality products. The harness were for 67-68 C10 trucks.
