Default Rally 2 15 x 7

I finally got a complete set of 15 x 7 rally 2 for my 1970 formula 400. Like to know if this trim center is correct for 70 and where to get correct lug nuts. I need a full set. The seller told me these where original to his dad's 73 auto ta 455 SD, so I'm hoping I got correct style, yep another fun 3 hr road trip. They look very nice paint in good shape, I never had this style before so a little excited. Advice and wisdom needed. How do I even take the trim.ring off and reinstall it? And one center cap arrow isn't red any more, so can someone guide me in right direction?

Those are very nice and they will look great on your car, but I don't think they are correct for it? 1970 15" Firebird rally wheels have the 14" centre section/stepped hoop 15" wheel and no trim rings. All 1970 T/As came with them, but most Formulas would end up with a 14" wheel.

The trim rings just pull straight off like a wheel cover, but require a fair bit of force and always scratch the rims paint where the retaining brackets grab the rim. Putting them back on is again like with a wheel cover using the palm of your hand or a rubber hammer.

Our host and many other aftermarket suppliers carry replacement centre caps that match the factory ones pretty well.

RAnacho, Those are Rally II wheels for '73-up A, F, & G bodies that have the rounded brushed trim rings (these have been polished) and the brushed center cap (Brewster Green TA picture). The '70 15" Rally II wheel (and 14" Rally II's) is what nas t eh described with the polished trim ring and center cap with the red lucite 'PMD' emblem (Solar Red '68 Firebird picture).

Thanks I have my 14 x 7 cl with trim.ring and poverty cap too. I'm learning about jw rims but they are very expensive for me. I think these will look good and if I go to a show I can I stall the 14 x 7 cl. Thanks I'm going to buy lug nuts and I center cap.
