Default Fan guard on 67 GTO

Is the fan guard (not shroud) used on all non ac 1967 gto, or do they just get the upper bracket? I thought I knew this, but now, I'm not sure

Andre,

When you say “fan guard”, I’m assuming you mean the metal finger guard up on top that goes around the radiator cap.

Every 67 “non-ac” car had these, just like the 65-66 models.

Chris.

Mine does have this guard. I assume the upper bracket is not used in conjunction with this.

You need the bracket on the top to hold the rad, the fan guard goes on top, surrounds the rad cap....

That is correct. And if your core support is missing the nuts that clip in (for the fan guard), Ames sells them.
