Movie: "12 Strong"
My brother in law, Doug Stanton, is an best selling author and one of his books has been made into a movie.
The movie "12 Strong" is based on his 2nd book "Horse Soldiers", and is about the first guys on the ground in Afghanistan after 9/11. Starring Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon and directed by Jerry Bruckheimer it is a real deal Hollywood affair. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1413492/?ref_=nv_sr_1 We attended a pre-release screening the weekend before last in Doug's hometown of Traverse City, complete with dinner and a question and answer period with movie personnel and one of the CIA agents involved. Anyway - I thought you guys would be interested in the subject matter. See the movie! (Buy the book!) - lol. I saw "12 Strong" yesterday and it was great. I've reserved the book at the library and will be reading it soon. I also plan to read Doug's other books.

 This is one I want to see, but not in a theater.... I will buy it.Another is "13 Strong", the story of Benghazi in 2012.

I'm kind of late to the party on this but I saw 12 Strong a couple weeks ago and just finished reading "The Odyssey of Echo Co" today and enjoyed the hell out of both.
