Twin, they HAD to put RAIV exhaust on the things to even have a chance at selling them. The first ones had Ford exhaust, after all, they were a Ford head. No one was going to buy them unless they changed something.
You need to look at what is being done with the LS1. Its the future. There are Pontiac shops doing some stuff on LS1 packages. The Pontiac demo is old, and getting older. The Pontiac bore space is limited, the tall marrow LS1 ports are a good fit. RAV exhaust, Pontiac valve cover. Its a match.
The CV2, you mean a all new full canted, separate exhaust race head....um the Warp.
Not a whole bunch of those things being sold.
Build something people will buy, and at least look Pontiac.
Tell you what, there are far more max effort Pontiac race engines out these with a Pontiac 4 bolt valve cover than any Ford head slapped on a Pontiac race engines.
Always will be that way too.

BTW someone needs to step up that does not have a blower on their car.
There is your race, Bruces car hauls @ss.

And just so we are clear on the set up i have, these are heads that John did for me as a friend, with a lets see what we can do deal. WHEN HE WAS 26 YEARS OLD AND WORKED AT E.T. . They have not been touched since, other than springs and valve job, the car sat for 6 years do to the economy and the wife being in college for nursing.
I'm not rich either. Thats why i'm running my "old" setup. It should be no problem to slap me silly.
.... hey man i hear ya', i just thought it was stupid for it to be said we have no "Balls" when we have accepted the fact you wanted a match race, Calvin said he thinks we have a customers combo in the works that might fit the challenge, he is talking to the customer right now about accepting the race, and GoatRacer is not a good match, but he was trying to see if something could be done, trust me, the CV-1 camp has plenty of "Balls" ....
.... what we dont have is tons of cash to get this stuff where we want it as fast as we'd like, along with everyone else apparently, lol .... but yes, we hope to meet you and have a lot of fun at Norwalk, i love match races, i'm a street racer to the core, that is right up my alley .... no pun intended ....

I don't think it would be a good race seeing as he is about 800 lbs less... by calculations around 2600# or so...

Cool. "I" never said anyone doesn't have balls. Just want to race. I'm giggling the longer this goes on! FWIW the guy building a combo "should" have a slight advantage, only cuz he's not done yet and knows what he's up against. He can lean on her a little.

I will take the race if he puts 3 of them in the car for balast. If he has cv1 heads...

if your response to this:
a tube chassis four link car weighs 2790 lbs with driver, 541 ci app 850 hp,60 ft@ 1.30,best 1/4 time is 8.89@151, i am running 14-1 comp a .440 high torque cam,284@.050 int,288@.050 exh and two 1050 doms . jim seems to believe this combo should run in the 8.50 range and that part of the problem is the motor sitting so low in the chassis. any help will be greatly appreciated

was this:
what size headers & converter , I'am running butlers cam same specs , 522 cu in. w/1 carb & my 60ft is 1.17 to 1.19 , not sure on engine center line , my car is 200lbs lighter

The we might not have a race without 3 of these:

IA2 blocks in addition to the one powering the car...

It's all good. I have struggled with getting my stock suspension, 4000 lb sled past 9.50's last seaon. This year will be a bit different .

I'm not scared to run you, I have the "Balls". Lets do this. I am the one Calvin speaks of. My car weighs 3099 before IIAI block, 120 ballst, driver weighs 230 total 3440. As we speak it's being built. It's a new 505 CV-1 motor. I'm a long time Bracket racer and not afraid to pull the trigger. Keith
