My T-10 Was just rebuilt, now when you drive it around mild mannered like, it performs fine. But when you put your foot into it (say 1st gear form a standstill) the transmission gets stuck in first gear! Could this be a problem inside the trans, or with the linkage? I'm getting mixed opinions from everyone. The only way I can get it unstuck is to go underneeth the car and yank the linkage rod for 1st gear. The same problem will happen again and again, unless you baby it.

first of all use the new topic instead of the poll for ?'s.

when the trans was installed was the linkage properly adjusted? [pin thru the shifter and all of that?]

what all was replaced in the trans?

it sounds like the 1-2 syncro may have a problem.
