Default Resto book for your car

Looking to see if there is a book out there for a restoration project. Something to write all the numbers down and to keep track of all kinds of info.

I have bought/used a journal before, combined with zip lock "write on" freezer bags and a camera. Now I can edit and write a number or notes on my pics as I take them, with my big Galaxy Note2S ,which has its own stylus. so I write less in a journal. Then I make a new folder for each subject on the computer or in my phone, and drop them in there.

Take pictures of everything. You can label them with the part number and page of the assy. manual, if you want , as well.

I saw a project book similar to what you mentioned featured on the TV show Gearz once, but I don't remember who makes it. You might ceck the shows web site.

I do take pictures like you would not believe it . I have about 1600 pictures of the Trans Am and it's not even all apart yet. I take pictures of parts before I restore it and after it 's sandblasted , after it's in primer and after it's in paint and also from all sides ,up and down and of part # in each of the stage of the restoration of each parts. Each pictures in the computer as a full description of parts with numbers and what color it's painted in

That's why I asked because I seen it on that show too but could not find it anywhere. It's nice on the computer you log everything with pictures and all kinds of info but when you go to a swap meet , scrap yard and stuff like that I do not want to bring the computer with me . I will do a spreadsheet on the computer and will post it on here .

Book arrived this week and like I thought it wasn't what I really wanted but it's still a nice book for someone that is building a car with lots of aftermarket parts and stuff. Here's a few scan pages of the book.

While I was waiting for the book I made these spreadsheets for my cars in office words and I guess anyone could use office paints and just change the info of my cars and put they own info for their cars
