Last night I was listening to 'A Song for You' performed by Leon Russell. Written by Leon, Ray Charles and Willie Nelson. Great song. I suppose that most guys that have a good woman at home can relate to the lyrics. I know that I can.

Here's an oldie.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKta_gRc2gA

The other day my regular headset crapped out on me. Logitech, just a cheap one I've had for 4 years. So I went over to best buy looking for a new2 one. I've wanted one with 7.1 surround sound but all the ones I've looked at were pretty expensive. Well I found one and it's turned out to be pretty good, tho you have to download the software to have 7.1. It's not wireless like I wanted, you have to use the USB plug for surround sound. It even works good for gaming. It's a Corsair HS60 with a removable mic, and I bought it for $49.95. Yep it was on sale and I saved 10 bucks. Most of the redone and newer songs on YouTube from the late 70s now sound like you're listening to a pretty good stereo system... not your every day stereo radio with only 2 speakers. I like this headset.

That song is pure Leon. May have been covered by others, but it was written by Leon only.

I haven't figured out how to change all the settings yet, but Bass volume sounds good to me as it is. There's a stock Movie Theater setting I'm using now that you can hear the different speaker sections. The only thing I'm not crazy about, I haven't gotten used to it yet I guess, is the volume and mute controls are on the back side of the left side ear cup. Not in the wire to the USB connection like I'm used to.

BTW... I have 2 weeks to take it back for a full refund if I don't like it. So far I'm hanging on to this headset. Besides that.... with it on I can't hear the Warden hollering at me. LOL

+1. Heard a few songs from DT.

Got into Fates Warning back in the day (first 3-4 albums). One of my favorite bands now is 'Theocracy'.

I will be listening to a bunch of this today & tomorrow as I am going to his concert tomorrow night!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tLsFsGxLmE

I had tickets last year, but did not make it off the road in time for the concert. this year I bought the insurance on them, but made it home last night. Many of my favorites have passed before I got to see them...Jack Bruce, Gary Moore, Etc, so I have been trying to go to as many as I can before we lose any more of the greats.

I am going to add one more for the guys who like guitar blues/blues...Can't get too much better than John Mayall & Gary Moore!

God bless
Bill

I am jealous that you saw Jack twice Sir! I deeply regret not seeing BBM the short time they were together. For those not familiar...Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker & Gary Moore.

This song is not only one of their favorites, but one of my ALL Time Favorites

Mayall is on "My List" along with a few others. I saw Gordon Lightfoot about 6 months ago & was very surprised how well he performed at his age! Had tickets for Richie Havens, but again didn;t make it off the road in time, so I missed it & he passed away before I could go again!

Anytime I Hear White Room, I remember how good Jack Bruce was with Cream. Anytime I hear I hear I'm So Glad, I remember how great Ginger Baker was with them. And when I saw the Allman Brothers in NYC a few years ago, and Eric walked out unannounced (although rumored) and played some Derek & the D's stuff to honor Duane, I heard in person that element of Cream. Life moment.

I plan on looking for music within on new acquisition.

While looking through youtube and different music I listened to this Roy Clark jam on the Odd Couple TV show. I was pretty impressed maybe hard core guitar players may not be but thought this was an impressive solo.
