Default Will Edelbrock Q-Jet parts work in my Q-jet?

Like the title says, I have a Q-Jet from a '79 0r '80 301 (17080272). It has APT and according to everything I've read, my carb's primary metering rods are different than a '75 or older Q-jet. Will the Edelbrock primary rods work in my Q-jet? I know the jets will.

Last time I checked, Edelbrock sold primary rods for both the early and late Q-Jets. Check their site. I think the description will say for Edelbrock and Q-Jet applications.

But, their primary rods for the later Q-Jets have the larger tip of .036 instead of .026. I ordered some 50 and 52 and they both came with the larger tips.
