Red face Barn Find, Need Help

I ran across a '70 Orbit Orange GTO in a hiding place nearby. It currently is poorly painted Carousel Red. My question is, where there any Orbit Orange not Judge, RA lll, or RA lV 1970 GTO's produced?
Original motor long gone but most everything else is there.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks Gordie

More than likely, yes. If it's safe to do, get the VIN and send to PHS for the invoicing (if you have access to a fax you may get info. same day). www.phs-online.com . More than likely though, someone in NW Iowa, may already know of it.

Thanks for the responses. I kinda figured there were, but after checking many sites for info and not finding any standard Orbit Orange 70's, I thought I would ask.
Price isn't out of line and does come with a running 455. The catch is no title.
Anyone know the steps to getting a Minnesota title?

I'd buy it and ask questions later- you run the risk of someone else finding it.

Once it is a done deal share the particulars.

Thanks-john

It might be a little easier to get one in your area than in the Cities. But first, check with the Saint Paul office (try to be as vague, at first, as possible). They may be able to produce a title from the plate or sticker number. Knowing the last LEGAL owner would help too. A title number might help also. Of course, the records only go back so far, so you might be out of luck. I brought in a title from '78 to transfer, had to wait forever because it wasn't in their system (I can't remember what the tags said). Good luck.

I had several Buick owners use this company with great success on cars w/no current titles:

Thanks for the info. I will first try to get PHS on the car and go from there.

Just wanted to follow up on this thread. Got PHS, 1970 Sierra Yellow GTO 400/wT400 with air. Currently has 12 bolt rear with 1971 455/4x engine combo. Comes with 1970 LeMans parts car.
Wife says sell one of the other cars and I can buy it. Can't do it right now.

Gordie

Sierra Yellow is a long ways away from Orbit Orange...

I'm trying to picture sierra yellow. Is there a 'paint chip' link for '70-'72 GTO/LeMans out there?

Cool Color Blind

Ok, so I was looking at the car at night with shades on in an unlit garage.

Actually, I just saw orange/yellow in the seams and cracks. Didn't know for sure how close to correct orange it was.
