Those were some dangerous days ... HP was outpacing handling and brakes by a huge margin.

But still my favorite era for motorcycles. Sold all of them (except one) when we moved to NZ.

What I see immediately is the steering dampers .... a very very good modification to make to those bikes. And the oil coolers ... somebody liked to really ride their bikes

New Zealand has produced some world class motorcycle racers ... which I always thought was weird for an island out in the middle of nowhere.

Well spotted. It was a US model (GS1000SZ) but I liked to mod them so I fitted the wire wheels to mimic the NZ and Aus. Katana 'specials'. I actually sold that bike to the owner of Factory Five racing for his collection. When his agent turned up to pick the bike up, he saw my two CB1100F's and made me an offer for them as well. Fun times!

I miss my 76 FXE Super Glide. Sold it back in the 90s like a dumbass. But here in Delaware... nope, wouldn't have another because of the way people drive their cages. And that goes for a lot of places.

I built this bike based on a 76 FXE basket case back in the 80's. Served me quite nicely for a few years. And ... yeah, wish I didn't sell it.

What are you saying Gary, people driving cars dont pay attention!! Followed this guy down the road the other day. Had one phone with his gps, the other was playing a movie. These kind of idiots should be forced to drive into a concrete wall.

Dataway, nice looking bike. Funny thing about most motorcyclists I know, they all regret the bikes they sold, but never the ones they bought!

Happy New Year!
