Default Header studs or Stage 8 locking bolts?

Has anyone tried header studs with their Pontiac engines? I have a 79 Trans Am with the 400 and 4 speed. My headers are Hooker Super Comps that are sidemounts into 4
' sidepipes. I thought these might help with changing header gaskets from time to time. I also have a set of the Stage 8 locking header bolts and thought I would use them with a set of copper gaskets, but they go in as regular bolts do so I thought I would ask if anyone has had sucess with the studs before I change these gaskets again.
Thanks, David Thomas

Studs would never work on a Pontiac engine. You would only be able to use them on the ends holes. You would never get a nut on the stud the way the tubes sweep back right away. It's a pain to get bolts in let alone a nut on a stud. Look at your headers a little closer and I think you will see what I mean.
