I must be missing something here! 400 motor with auto tranny. New flywheel and I can't distigush which side to mount to crank!

Sorry if this is a silly question!

It will only install one way as the bolt hole pattern is not symmetrical. If it is a stock flexplate, there are some small tabs at the ID that are bent away from the crank. This will make it easier to fit.

It's a brand new one - thanks for the info. The engine is on the stand right now so I didn't try and fit it.
