The only block I've ever weighed was a 1970 400 that came in at 187 lb. I doubt there is a big difference between a 326 and 455, I know they all feel pretty heavy.

Weights? 350 400 455 CI ??
Take the answers here with a grain of salt! https://pontiacforum.com/pontiac/thr...-455-ci.26649/ Not your specific answer, but these might be of interest.... Pontiac 400 Block - 1972 (With 4.120" Bores and Two Bolt Mains.) Weight = 187 lbs. Source: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=810975 From a previous combination I built: '70 400 block with all 5 Pro-Gram Engineering billet steel main caps w/ARP stud kit, filled to the freeze plugs, bolt-in Mega Brace lifter bore bracing and bored to 4.165" weighed 207 pounds. Depending on the bore the average IA2 block weighs about 245 lbs. .

My ‘59 389 weighs in at 210 lbs. The total shipping weight was 230 lbs (20 lbs for the pallet; 210 for the block).
