Default sbc offset rockers???

Looking for offset intake rockers that won't break the bank.

I know the sbc has a good selection of offset stuff, can a guy run sbc rockers on a RPM head?

In a word, NO!.At least not with the valve stem to rocker stud location of the RPM head.
you can run Ford SB 1,6 non offset types though for a cheaper alternitive to Pontiac rockers.
Sometimes with those it depends on the cams base circle if you also need to go to a different push rod lenght.

I currently have zero offset rockers to try, I have had issues with the Yella Terra stuff before.
Been a while since I have used a set.

Anyone currently have them on at the moment?

A fwiw.... and not a recommendation, for conversation only. Years ago we ran a set of Isky sbc solid roller lifters on a set of early Edelbrock Pontiac cylinder heads in conjunction with a T&D shaft system that had 0.170" offset intake rockers. The roller lifters on the intake side had a 0.150" offset, they were part number was 1241-LO-150

The link bar on these lifters was easly removed and exchanged for the correct lifter bore center line to work in a Pontiac application. We had no oiling issues with the UltraDyne solid roller cam in use. The engine made peak power at 6900/7000 rpm.

I've used the Yella Terra shaft rockers since I replaced my 400 engine with a 4.25" stroke engine. I think I have about 200 runs on them. The engine was first a 482, and then a 505.

I have some offset stud mounted 1.65" rockers built for a Pontiac.

Give me a call if you want to discuss this.

Thanks.

Chipped Tooth and others here, my apology. I misread the topic and had 'offset lifters' in mind with my response.

Fwiw... while exploring relocating pushrods on my 6x heads(eliminate pushrod bulge) Crower strongly suggested I DONT offset the lifter more than .150" largely to loading the lifter axles on the offset side... their tech was also concerned on the rocker side(stud mount) as the guide plate helps keep the alignment but again they suggested NOT going more than .150" unless using shafts... He gave me part numbers if I decided to go with the stud mount route. (I dont have them handy or I'd pass it along).

Btw the 6x port with its short turn limitations safely ported to 291 cfm at .800"(2.10" valve) with a good safety margin... removin the bulge doesnt add alot of flow but improves flow quality considerably. I have the rest of the ports on hold and considering an earlier small chamber casting as the short turn is more favorable and I could get alot more flow.

I also been thinking of pressing out the guide and re machining the valve angle at a 1-1.5 degree angle.
But not shure without welding how i could correct the rocker stud hole.
