Who is Randy Williams? ;-) And was there a toy model made of that wagon? |

That Tempest wagon was 100 times more car than that Monte Carlo or GTO will ever be. Some of you people need to go back to your little Corvette world and leave the Pontiacs to the racers and I already know Arnie Beswick agrees with me. Look up Randy Williams.

How did they ever justify putting a Chevy cowl hood on that wagon!

Something had to be done to fit the Super Duty clone engine.

But a clone is still a clone.

That Holden is a cool car... too bad it cannot be titled or registered to drive..why not?... Really?? How did it get 42,000 miles on it?? Also the 66 GTO.. awesome..it's a street car.. worth every penny for sure.. I would have dropped 30= in a second for that!..love to drive it around town!..some unbelievable prices!..wow!

The car was built by Scott out of the doner car used to restore the SD Tempest wagon.Tom

I just have a hard time seeing a cowl hood on such a high pedigree Pontiac. Put an old school scoop sticking through the hood, velocity stacks, or maybe a 61-62 ford truck SD scoop.
I feel the same way seeing cowlhoods on 68-70 Chargers. Just turns my stomach to see it. |

That hood doesn't scream Chevy to me, it is a "sort-of" style. It just say serious racer clearance needed. In this case it "fits" the car.

No it doesn't. Chevy may have started the whole cowl induction thing but go into the drag section and see how many '67-'69 'birds have one as well as many other Pontiacs. On the Williams wagon it fits very well. Long roof, long looking hood. Besides, the car has 2 doors, there is nothing about the car that is period correct.

Guyle (Floyd) Hand can't even get $18k for his car. Personally, I'd buy it before any of Wanger's cars. I've been tempted to try to sell my T/A clone, and buy it...

I place no extra value whatsoever on a car that was owned by a "famous" person. The car is still a car that drives like a car regardless of who touched the steering wheel or farted in the seat..

Im really not sure what would be needed to race the wagon as is.Its a 9 sec race car that would make anyone a nice bracket car.Really no issue putting a 421 SD engine into a 63 tempest.Have done a few of them, one still in my garage right now.IMO,the car was bought well.Tom
