Default What car do they fit LOL

Just came back from the parts store to get some tire valve caps for my daily beater. The young man behind the counter, had to jump on the computer and ask what they fit. I said not necessary Jr. just point me to your tire section.
Without a computer, without my phone , or ever having a Facebook account, I found them by myself in under 10 seconds. 💪🏼

Yes, it's a mixed bag in the parts stores and your experience is sadly not unique.

OTOH, I respect any young person willing to work where the wages are low rather than scam or complain. Harder for them to pay the rent today than it was when I was 20-something. Extra credit for working out of their comfort zone (like this person was).

You probably helped him at least!

As I get older, I don't fault the younger generation for either not knowing or giving a crap for the pay they receive.

Chances are his computer has the make/model/year as required fields for him to look up anything, so don't be so hard on the parts guy - he probably doesn't have a choice but to ask those questions even if it seems silly.

Default Year make & model

I recently went to a local auto zone store to buy a couple of heat riser hoses, I gave the guy the part number and he still asked me for the year make & model.

I went to the parts store once and pointed at the Champion RC12YC spark plugs I wanted that were on the shelf behind the counter. The guy couldn't sell them to me without knowing the application a for his computer.
