Default Ben Rambow

Does anyone have Ben's contact info? I need some springs, sent him a PM, but likely doesn't log in much.

I saw some links to his website too, but they didn't seem to work.

Thank you!

According to his former Facebook page he is no longer selling parts or taking on work.

Thanks for the reply. That's too bad...

I guess I'll need to post a "where to buy" some springs like he was fabbing and selling.

What springs are you looking for? I have some left over from my resto that I had bought from Ben. I'll dig them out and take some pictures.

I needed one bottom spring, the first inboard "s" spring. Its roughly 18-20" long. One, maybe 2, of the upper bucket support springs. Looks almost like a "U". That one I pretty much can't find. I didn't think it was the same as the lower side support springs.

That was pretty much it. Both seats were in surprisingly good shape.

If you have it great, if not that ok too...however it would be cool if you had the uppers

I don't recall If I purchased from Rambo but there are plenty of places to get springs and supplies. I have purchased a number of items from Rochfordsupply. I have post in here somewhere. I basically rebuilt my bench seats from almost nothing.
I do recall the replacement springs are different gauge then what GM used back in the day.

Hi Ed, Thank you! I was able to source one sinuous/zig zag spring and I have the clips. If you wanted to part with the upper support springs in picture 2 I can use them. If not, I understand and I'll make one out of the old spring.

looks like i'm late to my own party...

Yes, I shut down the majority of my seat work early last year, finally pulling the plug on my website and removed links on most forums earlier this year. Long story short, just needed to refocus my attention on my actual career and family.

That said I do still have a pile of correct GM sized (Medium Loop Spring) that I sell in 25ft rolls, and I can and do still make up repair/replacement springs as needed for folks.

You can PM me if interested- I will continue stopping in here from time to time

-Ben
