So you are saying he drives the car with 2 feet going down the track and the Lenco is not clutchless???

I "googled" How does a Lenco clutchless transmission work.

Bill's reply made perfect sense to me, Clutch in on the pre-launch.

Clutch out for the launch. Left foot on the floor until you are thru the traps
and then left foot back into operation during decel mode at the end of the pass.

You can basically do the same thing (without a clutch but using a Trans Brake like a Bruno). Set the Brake on the line, Lenco Trans in first gear.

Trans Brake releases, engine hits max 1st gear rpm and the Air Shift puts the trans in 2nd gear. Some people manually shift the other gears on the Lenco.

Only difference is that there is no clutch, and there is a Trans Brake.

On a really good Turbo car you can't work the clutch or shifter fast enough on the gear changes so you use the clutch on the launch and push buttons to control the different air shift cans.

John,

You know what a Lenco is, you also know why guys that switch to Liberty transmission now dominate in NMCA Prostock.

You DO know that a Lenco is not legal in NHRA pro stock, right??? Why is the Lenco the trans of preference in mountain motor pro stock? Why is the Lenco the trans of preference in pro mod when the liberty is legal? I have touched a CS-2 Lenco once or twice...

I can't remember if I ever posted the dyno vid or not, so here's one of them...
