E-Z Clip fittings and hoses
I used Vintage Air E-Z Clip fittings and hoses on my latest project to simplify installation. This is my first time using these lines and I ran into something I thought I should check on. After making the lines I noticed that the fittings can be twisted on the hose with a little pressure even after the clamps are locked in place over the cage. Same on both lines I made (#6 and #10)...Is this normal or did I miss something?

A bit off topic ... but, I've noticed that shark-bite plumbing fittings (another type of push-on, o-ring fitting) easily spin after installation, but they don't leak.

Yes, it's normal to have some movement. You should use PAG during assembly.
After a few heat cycles/run time, they won't turn, or as easily. If you try to turn them after they've been in use for a while, and you turn them a lot, it could leak, but not sure. Just the way I'm thinking about it. I will never use crimp ends again after using the EZ-clip stuff, but they can be a little pricey. I used a bulkhead manifold too, which added 8 fittings. Uhg. .
