I had the opportunity to visit this collection many times over the years, and they were well cared for. I was fortunate enough to spend alot of time with the liberty blue 69 before it went to Chuck.

The webmaster must have went to lunch.

A new carb pan foam seal especially for the event might could have put the Wilde Blue Yonder up to 550k.
HA , but maybe.
Sometimes its the little highly visible things that stick out and grab you.

16 Judges
8 were Ram4
2 were Ram4 Jverts
An Amazing Gathering

3 of the Ram3 Judges did not make reserve.
69 Limelight
70 Pepper
70 Gold
Maybe they will go back across tomorrow on a second chance tour.

U202 goes across tomorrow.
70 Judge Black - Black
Ram3 Auto, AC, Tilt, Pwr Windows, Hood Tach
The last Judge of the event.

Frame off restore that has been driven, and maybe caught in the rain a few times. And looks like it might live in Florida also.
Corrosion just starting on all the natural finishes.
Nothing major , it happens.

Should bring pretty good money if its fully legit.
Would like to have it myself.
Add power seat and cruise control and keep on driving it.... in a dream

I saw the Ram Air II '68 and felt a little ill. I had no idea they were THAT rare.

When I bought my first house, the seller had a Crystal Turqoise/parchment RAII '68 in decent shape with the TH400 and the 4.33 gear and he wanted to sell it to me for $3500. It was 1990, and I needed the $$$ for the down payment on the house. Car had faded paint and slot mags with ladder bars out back. He had time slips from Baylands dating back to the '70's and the car was in the 12's IIRC.
Oh well.

I looked that car over twice. Does not have Judge grills but everything else seems to be there. You are correct about condition. It appears a lot of money was spent on restoration but has a lot of corrosion pitting on surfaces. Goes end of last day. Will be curious if the big money will still be there.. does appear to be located in Florida. I thought about going Sunday to see this car go across.

That’s not how that works. They do not go across the stage but once. They then go to Bid Goes On.. usually BGO cars are parked together. This year they were all over the place. There is a BGO desk you can go place a bid on the car. Sometimes owners will stay near car and talk to bidders and possibly work a deal.

Car was not at same level as Como car. Header on top of windshield where top seals was ripped all the way across. I believe the money the Como car brought is somewhat an anomaly. This second car only got half way there. There was not $500k difference..

They had that 71 Vert forecasted at 150-170
I thought I was going to be looking at a 455HO car when I saw the forecast.
But it was the 455cid option

3 worthy Trans Ams coming up soon tonight.

S248. 69 TA Auto AC
S229. 74 TA SuperDuty Auto Red
S257. 76 TA 455 4spd Black&Gold 50th Anny

S229. 74 TA SD Auto Red = 80k Hammer
Looked quality and very well bought if so.

Not a great time slot really.
The next 2 TA's might struggle even more

The OO and Black 70 Judges have always been a maximum premium.
Especially on IV cars..
Usually about neck and neck , but this time OO went nuclear.
Bionic Nuclear on the OO Convertible.
Going in behind it helped the Blue car considerably .

Whoever owns the Wilde Blue Yonder now will most likely afford whatever it needs to tighten it up.
It is my second favorite color combo of the group behind the Black-Sandal Auto.

There were enough shooters with enough money determined to take the OO to support its number
They wanted THAT ONE.
