9794234 Intake manifolds and date codes
What's the story on date code availability?
I've been watching classifieds and eBay for awhile to casually pick up a spare manifold to replace my cracked original. It's a date code E088 But I almost never see them, most are a C##8 or L##8 Bonus round... What would an F##8 be? I don't think I've ever seen a manifold cast F month. Anyone know why it's so difficult to find? |

Items like intake manifolds where cast and machined in large batches, so it’s not odd to find very few cast in certain months.
I don’t understand your question as to what would a F date code be? Whatever it is would have been cast in June that’s all. Also by the time even the start of June comes around the factory production plants where well into gearing up for the up coming production run of parts , and this is another reason why parts cast in certain months are few and far between .

We have E and F intakes here I have had a E178 intake listed for sale for ever just not cheap it’s one of the nicest casting I have seen. A lot of the early 68 casting are nice.

I saw your ad from 2017. Looked great. You currently have an F intake?
