Default 71 ho engine wiring harness

I am running a 455 ho engine wiring harness on my 71 gto. It runs along the intake and down the front of the head behind the power steering I believe. My question do they use a wire shield to run it through such as what is used on non ho cars to run pos. battery cable through that fits between cyl. 5 and 7. Also trying to figure out how it is attached underneath the manifolds on way to starter. Looks to me that they use some type of clips that look like they are attached to the motor mounts. Any help or ideas would be appreciated as books haven't been much help.

Yes, they did but it was different/longer than the non HO cars.
My HO had a problem with it as they put the wrong one on the car from the factory and it shorted out and had to take it to a dealer to have it fixed. The engine would not turn off. had to let the clutch out with foot on the brake to kill it. Gen lite was still on. Had to remove positive cable to completely shut down.
Got a new cable and correct shield.
Will have to look at factory manual to see if anything there.
