70 GTO Windshield w/antenna
Can anyone tell me if the windshields are still available?

yes, and you can get them in mn. I have bought 2 and need another. about $100 - 125 for hdtp. "auto city classic" auto glass......they also have tinted and can date code it I believe. btw, I like your avater! if I remember they are on hwy 65 north of the cities a 1/2 hour or so.

Thanks a million, I called my local guys and they said no way. Been bummed. I think i will be buying two. Hey thanks I have noticed your avater too. When I get her back together i would like to come on down and go cruisin!

Your local guys are idiots- plain and simple. The 1968-72 GM A-body windshield is one of the easiest to find, and cheapest to buy, pieces of replacement glass that there is. GM made a TON of these cars- so there is still a massive demand. That being the case, there is MORE than enough reason for the aftermarket to keep producing them.
Typically, they run right around $100. That's why I can never figure out why people want to spend so much time and effort to remove and save an old windshield. Literally, it's not worth the hassle, or the risk, all things considered. |
