Thanks. Now I can take those new cans off the shelf and modify them so they're usable.

Bought these from Tractor Supply and they work on new and old cans. Vent included in the kit.

I saw that a couple of years ago. That guy has serious issues with authority.

We all should have serious issues with a government that does things like this "for our own good!" If you've ever tried to use one of these newer "safe" gas cans, you would know what I mean. You're less likely to have a spill with the old conventional cans than this engineer's nightmare design.

I pick up old cans on the side of the road and put together a usable can/nozzle assembly from the pieces.

He must use a LOT of gas. Considering the crap goes bad in about a month.

I've heard it goes bad quickly, too. But, in my '64 GTO, which is kept in a heated garage all winter, runs just fine when driven in spring.

With my boat that has a SBC in it, sets all winter and runs fine on the old gas.

With my 1000cc. Arctic Cat Thundercat, it sets all summer. I do put Stabil in that gas tank, but have never had performance issues when the season starts in December.

Of these three engines, only the GTO has never seen ethanol in the fuel. We use that handy smartphone app that shows where ethanol-free stations are located.

All of our stations have no cow piss premium, the BP has No Ethanol, 87 for .05-.10 more than regular with ethanol.

Been using fuel jugs for the lawn mower, snow blower, etc, since the late 80's.
Still have old style 1g and 2g jugs for chainsaw, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, etc.
