Find a way to keep the underside dryer so moisture from the ground won't make it rust any worse than it is already.

I agree, just start driving it.
Take it from me, my 66 GTO has been parked since 1999 and now Im almost to the point of getting the motor back in and firing her up but dont do what I did which was to park it to redo the whole car. Dont feel overwhelmed by it. Just work on it in SECTIONS. It will help you from feeling overwhelmed. I would first get a new carpet and go from there. Keep at it!! -Don

No gauges currently. I have the rough set of rally qauges and a nice idiot light set. Quote:
Thanks for the encouragement guys. It does run and drive. I drive it occasionally. But as you can see, it's not really complete enough to drive a lot. It is a leaker,so that is why I haven't put the interior in. Now that I have it back at my house, I am starting to think about rust repair and having Maaco paint it. Unfortunately it doesn't fit in my garage, so that is a major hurdle. If I can get it dry inside, painted, heater and wipers. I would basically like to drive it on the days I'm not driving this....also no heater or wipers |

A leaking car in Seattle is like a leaking car in South Florida. If it isn't raining now, it will soon be.

Hey guys, I found my old account.
this is my car, I've set a goal of striping it, rust repair, and straightening the panels this summer. I started this week with removing the rear window. Someone had used hardware store caulking to "seal" it at one time. It's gonna need a fair amount of rust repair in that area. Before I dig in, has anyone posted a good walk thru yet? I just want to familiarize myself with the area first, before I start cutting. thanks Matt
