Oh, cool! Thanks for posting that!

Here's my dad's '70 Tempest Post circa '76. This is the very first car I ever loved and the inspiration for mine. This car was "put to sleep" after someone blew a Stop sign in '81.

Yes, very sharp '70. GTO hood looks great.

Yup! That's the color.

But - mine was not a cool 5-speed like that one!

Very cool 70 - wondered when I saw it in your garage pictures if it was one of the Jury cars.

Nah it's just a 350 2bbl car that my dad bought in 1975 just before I was born. I drove it in high school and it almost didn't survive- especially after a tree fell on it.

It sat in a barn for 15 years and literally started right up and drove out on 4 flat tires. That's when I decided to restore it. I love driving it- takes me back 20 years.

The goal for the 70 was to try to make it look tough (really like the jury cars you mention) without turning it into a GTO. We decided that a hood tach, chin spoiler and the 8" rallye II's in the back were the way to go. Added a GTO rear valence and splitters to finish it off.

I had one of those and put a set of extended forks on it. Loved the shifter.

You succeeded. Did you add the body colored sport mirrors too?

I added mine too. I think I got them in the right place. Car had the most basic non-remote mirror on driver's side and no mirror on passenger side.
