Sounds like a really cool car. Did you have it listed here on PY? I think the 72 GT cars with the plain lemans nose look neat. Do you have any pictures of it?

Here's the build sheet for my 72 455HO 4-spd convertible. It's Lucy Blue with white/black interior. It's currently partially dismantled and in storage.

Lloyd - how about a "Chrome Nose 455 HO only" thread next ??
Thats what i really thought i could find - maybe - somehow.
But 350 2bbl's were way too popular around my areas.

Chrome Nose, hubcaps, faded paint, maybe some surface rust too ..... yeh baby
i'm borrowing granny's car tonight

71 only BVZ - couldn't get it in 1970 & in 72 the HO required the T41 for RA.

A few years ago, I ran an ad in Hemmings for several 455HO motors I have. One of the guys who called was looking for a 72 WM coded 455HO motor. He claimed to have a red 72 455HO 4-spd convertible. I had the motor, but the date codes didn't match, so he kept looking.

I tried to get him to share his PHS, even blacking out the full VIN, but he never sent it to me. I believe I was told it was red with black interior, no a/c, minimal options.

To me, "never say never" implies something that exists but wasn't supposed to be built. The LLM could have been ordered with a 4-speed, so it's more like "I was led astray!"

Nope, not that I can find, Gary. I'd love to add it to my stash of invoices if you can lay hands on it. Thanks in advance . . .

I hope you don't mind, but THIS is one of the all-time "most coolest and neat-o" invoices I've ever seen for a '72 Pontiac. Right up there with Forrest's 455HO GT 'vert!

LeMans Sport hardtop, GT package, 455HO / auto, A/C, etc. etc. etc. Cameo white, black cordova and 31 total options - including the Y99 handling package!!!

LUV to see that one Gary. Any pictures?

EDIT - the ONLY option that would have made that car ANY cooler would have been the ducktail spoiler! gto4door posted this in another thread, but I NEVER tire of seeing this car! '72 LeMans GT, L78 / M22, bench seat, gauges / tach, Formula wheel, KRs w/ G60s and a ducktail - so fine!
