My dad ordered a 72 Lemans Sport when i was a kid.It was Adriatic Blue, black bucket seats, console, guages with clock, tinted glass,Formula steering wheel,400 -4bbl,no ac.It came with dark blue wheels, dog dishes, and blackwalls.I remember waxing those splitters every time he would clean the car. They were the absolutely coolest pipes ever.None of my friends could believe it came that way. In 73 he put a set of Rocket wheels on it.It was bad a$$.I wanted that car so bad but he sold it in 74 to buy a 74 Lemans Sport.I was heart broken. I had a chance to buy the car in the early 80,s,as the elderly man that bought it let his grandson drive it,and he swiped the side of the highway concrete divider. At the time i did not do bodywork, and took my body man with me to look at it,and he said it was too bad. Now years later, doing my own body work,i could have fixed that car easily. What a shame. So,i have always had a soft spot for those 72 LeMans,s.But they gotta have those side splitters!

Here's my Sundance WW5/4spd car leaving this week - Memo car like the Knafel Pontiac RA5 Judges. Never found a build sheet in the car so who knows what the memo was for.

Other way around.

There was also early & late year pricing - but the higher priced one was the auto.

OrbitOrange !!!!!!!!

just kidding
but i'm working on its designation - its likely going to boil down to meaning a completely non-available color for that model year / time frame.

It "could" have been OO though.
Maybe even BLACK.

4 was "primer" code.

work in progress

No, 1,006 was early pricing 4spd, they did away with a tire charge I believe part way through the year. Lloyd will help you out with this - he figured it all out a couple years ago.

I'll add my former GTO in here...what's interesting about this car, is it is a pretty early production car and there is NO billing on the PHS for the 455HO engine. I have only seen one other 455HO with a lower VIN from Pontiac plant and that one too, did NOT have the 455HO engine billed either!

that is an odd ball, ain't it? 4spd w/bench seat. I noticed it didn't have the pull straps, and I believe those are what you get with the sport option interior stuff(straps). I don't think you got them with a bench seat car anyway?? I don't know who ended up buying it out of Wagners, and that was all the documentation I could get out of the sales guy. Not sure if he had the PHS on it or not. We have the VIN...would be neat to see that car at a show and see who owns it.

Here's an interesting WW5 thread from over 4 years back . . .

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...option+pricing

Be sure and read supercarbob's post #21 for a very comprehensive reply concerning all of the WW5 option pricing differences.
