Well here is my T37 I got back in 86 for a grand total of $175. 350 Auto bench seat. It used to have a radiator support in great shape. My dad parked it out back and the pivot ran over it. Needless to say I was rather upset when I found it. It was going to be the project for this winter, untill I found it under the pivot. I dont know what is all wrong with it now.

At least the hood that was on it wasnt any good. Oh yeah and the fenders were rust free. I guess I should have got it running sometime on leave. Maybe after the current project is done I will do this one, maybe after one of the Formula's..

You sure that is original paint SteveO? From the looks of the hood, it looks like it could have been repainted. The vertical bars on the hood scoops were painted black from the factory. Those are body color, which is a hint that it ( at least the hood) has been repainted. The bars and the little lip surround are black.

OK, let me clarify. When I purchased the car, it had all original paint. I repainted the scoops and the valance. The valance had parking curb or something else damage and the scoops being cast, had an adhesion problem (most of the paint had flaked off).

Tom, I have had the car at Abacoa 2X. I think the one time you where there, but did not get to see it. Last time it was there was the November meeting.

Next time you see it, it will be totally diferent. As time allows, (like I have any spare) it is undergoing a restomod. I am keepng the original block and having the 7F6 heads ported by "The Dude". "The Dude" is also building a rotating assembly with brand new crank, H Beam rods, and custom pistons, holley 870 street avenger, dougs headers and Pypes exhaust.. It will get a custom hydraulic roller and full chrome March serpintine system. Engine will be good for around 450 HP and about 500-525 lbs ft of torque. Tranny will be replaced with a Tremec 5 speed. Original 3.55 peg leg rear will get a Powertrax locking differential. Havent decided on keeping the 15 Honeycombs or 17-18 inch after market wheels. Interior wil remain stock black as it is in good condition. I will add AC from Custom in Tampa. The car currently is partially dissasembled, all body work is done (needed very little, one rust spot about 1"x3" on passenger quarter right behind tire running up and down.and assorted smal dings here and there.) I jambed out the doors and trunk with a Pearl white I concocted. Not quite sure yet how I am going to finish the car. I have some satin blue pearl powdered Mica ordered that I might paint the whole car the Pearl White and add a small amount of the Mica to the first coat of clear?? I also orderd some blue candy powder. I might candy the scoop area into a fade on the hood?? Undecided.

Sorry, I just noticed your question, some 3.5 months later, but no, got it from a guy in Maryland.

I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet but if you look at my cardomain link you can see my 71 Lemans Sport convertible.

That picture is from last year. Since taking those pics I have installed front and rear coils, a 4bbl carb, and a complete Pypes 2-1/2" manifold back system with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. New 15" Rally's and BF Goodrich Radial T/A's are about a week away.

Default 70 Lemans Sport beater

Here is my 70 Lemans Sport that I bought a few months ago. It is a two owner car from Florida (big suprise judging by the amount of rust). The guy I bought it from never titled it so I have the original FL title and all of the paperwork including the original purchase contract! Don't worry, it will be nice again when I get my shop ready.

Here's one of my 72 Lemans Sport convertibles. I have this one, a rough 455HO 4-spd convertible, and an orange 455 automatic. All have the endura front end.

Thumbs up

Mike - I'm wondering why no 455 callouts on the front fenders?

Beautiful car BTW!

Thumbs up 70 Lemans Sport Conv

My Wife and I have had this car since High School. Her Dad purchased it for her in 1985 and we have been driving it ever since. This is also the first car I restored and painted. "Big Red" is the name of this Pontiac and it will be a family member for ever!

Lloyd,

The blue convertible in the photo is not an HO car. It is a low mileage original 350 2-barrel automatic car.

My H-O car is the exact same car (Lucy Blue w/endura, non-a/c, white & black interior), but with a 455HO 4-spd.

I hate to say it, but this car may end up being a donor car for the HO convertible. I bought this car for what I'd expect to pay for a set of NOS quarters.

Mike

Mike, you can certainly find the deals!

My bad, the way it appeared in your text I was thinking you had two cars, now that I re-read it I can see that you have three '72 'verts. Are all three T41 cars?

It appears that most, if not all, of the panels are very nice on the 350 car. Great find!
